GAPP Sets Date for 2023 Wild Alaska Pollock Annual Meeting

The industry’s fifth-ever event that brings together Wild Alaska Pollock industry executives, allied industry and dynamic speakers and experts will be held on September 28, 2023, the Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) announced today. The industry’s Annual Meeting will be held for the first time at the Four Seasons, Seattle, a luxury hotel in the heart of downtown Seattle and will be themed “Accelerating Demand for the Perfect Protein.”

“Our Annual Meeting has become a gathering place for our industry to come together and network, collaborate and problem-solve,” said Craig Morris, GAPP CEO. “We’re excited to have people ‘save the date’ and look forward to another year of exciting and inspiring speakers and time with colleagues and friends and we’re especially excited about our new home at the Four Seasons, an absolutely stunning venue perfect for our meeting.”

Last year’s event featured speakers including celebrity chef Antonia Lofaso as well as representatives from the Port of Seattle, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA), Gorton’s, McDonald’s, Arby’s, Alaska Airlines, Holland America, Nordstrom and industry leaders who shared their historical perspective on how far Wild Alaska Pollock has come. The 2023 event will build on last year’s event with an eye towards the future and how the industry can bring Wild Alaska Pollock into new channels and to new customers around the globe and leverage our assets to build maximum demand.

"We know our industry has many options on how to best spend their time attending industry events. So, every year we try to raise the bar in terms of our speakers, our program and our venue and we’re starting off on the right foot with the Four Seasons being our host for this year’s event,” said Morris. “I can’t wait to start building out a jam-packed agenda and locking in amazing speakers to share their thoughts on how the Wild Alaska Pollock industry can best position our fish and its incredible story for building our demand into the future.”

Registration, sponsorship, and other event information will be available in the coming weeks on the GAPP events page here. If your company is interested in sponsoring GAPP’s flagship event, please contact Craig Morris at [email protected].
